About HulaBean
HulaBean Coffee Company began as a small coffee shop on Ali'i Drive in downtown Kailua-Kona on the Big Island of Hawaii in October of 2000. Steve and Gwen Hicks,  new owners of the original store, will be excited to see you there. If you happen to have missed stopping in during your last trip to Kona,  it is right downtown across the street from Hulihee Palace.  In October of 2007, Ralph and Natalie opened a second store on the mauka (up-hill) side of Mamalahoa Highway in Kealakekua. If driving south from Kailua Kona, immediatly after passing through Kainaliu, look for the sign and hit the brakes: it appears suddenly.  It is in the center space of a building constructed in 1870, and  is truly a historical site with a coffee field in the back with trees over 100 years old.  Please stop by and see us there when headed to Honaunau or to the volcano.  We will be happy to show you an official Kona  coffee bean on a tree in season (or just a tree in the process of producing a bean if not  in picking season).

The photo of the store below is as it was originally in 2000.  Currently, the storefront is HulaBean Coffee red, the same as a ripe coffee cherry, and has a lanai with additional tables to serve you.

All of us at HulaBean Coffee have enjoyed meeting many island vistors over the years. It is these vistiors who have helped make HulaBean the successful company it is today. To you delightful people, we say "Mahalo"! ( thank you!)

For those of you who are unable to come see us in person, please order online and be here in spirit while enjoying your cup of paradise from wherever you are!

Mahalo and Aloha!
